2. Ain't She
Sweet*
Ager & Yellen / Warner Bros. Seven Arts, Inc.
From "Puckulations" with Whistlin' Tom
Oh ain't she
sweet
See her walkin' down that street
Now I ask you very confidentially
Ain't she sweet
Oh ain't she
nice
Look her over once or twice
Now I ask you very confidentially
Ain't she nice
Cast an eye in her direction
Oh me oh my ain't that perfection
Oh I repeat
Don't you think that's kind of neat
Now I ask you very confidentially
Ain't she sweet
3. A Houseful of Faeries
© 1994 Elaine M. Silver
From "Faeries, Dreams & Other
Friends"
I opened up the cupboard and what did I see
I saw a tiny Faerie
In a cup and saucer meant for tea
Sat that little tiny Faerie
Oh what's your name and who could you be
That little sprite she said to me
"My
name is Emily
I am the keeper of the tinctures and the teas"
Then I opened up the freezer and what did I see
I
saw another little tiny Faerie
He was wearing a scarf, a hat and gloves
And he was sending out wishes of the warmest
love
Oh what's your name and who could you be
That little pixie said to me
"My name is Jeremy
Jeremy Faerie
of the deep deep freeze"
Into the backyard moonlight and I couldn't help but stare
The loveliest of Faeries was
dancing there
She whirled and she twirled she glided through the air
So full of love which her dancing helped to share
Oh what's your name and who could you be
"Athena of the dance is what they call me
When I lift my wings my feet
don't touch the ground
And it makes all the children sing the sweetest sounds"
Later on that evening as I crept
into bed
I lifted up the pillow upon which I lay my head
There slept a beauty so little and so small
A sleeping
Faerie and the tiniest of all
Oh what's your name and who could you be
In a tired voice that Faerie said to me
"My
name is Dulcea of the Dreams
I bring in night time's power and I bring in moon beams"
I've a houseful of Faeries
and a heartful of love
Evenings filled with dreams from celestials above
Faeries love to sing to dance and to share
And when you hear 'em ringing bells it shows just how much they care
Oh, what's my name and who could I be
I am
Echoes of Light Faerie of the Silver Stream
Warm and tender blessings go from me to you
Your listening to my song
fills me up with gratitude
Warm and tender blessings go from me to you
Your listening to my song fills me up with
gratitude
4. Hoboken Wishbone Blues
© 1980 Royce Anderson / Skytop Music, BMI
From "Wandering Woman"
Feelin'
kind of funky feelin' kind of blue
Feeling like I'd like to feel funky with you
Feeling like I'd like to call you
up on the phone
But I've only got a dollar and it's all I own
I wish I had a nickel wish I had a dime
Wishin'
that for once I could have been on time
Wishin' they would tell me it was just a delay
And another train will be right
along the way
I got the Hoboken wishbone blues
Erie Lackawanna take me home to youse
I wish that there
was something open here
Wish that I could get me a pizza and a beer
I wish the cop standin' there would give me some
change
But I'm afraid to ask him 'cause I sure smell strange
I'm even pullin' on the levers of the candy machine
Checkin' in the corners of the public latrine
I'm checkin in the gravel up and down the track
Wishin somebody
had dropped a dime and didn't look back
I got the Hoboken wishbone blues
Erie Lackawanna take me home to youse
Well I found a dime right here in the phone
Baby come and get me 'cause I am all alone
I wish I wasn't calling
you up at quarter to two
But there's no more trains this evening
Tell me what could I do
I got the Hoboken
wishbone blues
Erie Lackawanna take me home to youse
I got the Hoboken wishbone blues
Erie Lackawanna take me
home to youse
Erie Lacka dona wanna take me to youse
5. The Grim Reaper's Song
© 1980 John Kruth
From
"Wandering Woman"
You've been livin' in the lap of luxury
You've been spoon fed long enough
It's time for
a change
Gonna rearrange
The game and call your bluff
There's nothin' you can say
We're leavin' right away
And there's no need to pack your stuff
No there ain't no need to pack your stuff
You can't get to Heaven in
a limousine
And Daddy Death don't drive a Ford
The Angels don't pump gasoline
And there's no boat to climb aboard
You've gotta realize
There's no time to socialize
You can't be late for lunch with the Lord
No you can't be
late for lunch with the Lord
So when I come to knock on your door
When I ring your telephone
Have some respect
when I come to collect
The time you spent was not your own
You've gotta understand
My sad command
The life
you've been given you've been livin' on loan
The life you've been given you've been livin' on loan
The life you've
been given you've been livin' on loan
Don't give me a hard time now baby
It's just my job I'm doin'
6.
Mockingbird Hill
Vaughn Horton / Southern Music Publishing
From "Puckulations" with Whistlin' Tom
Chorus:
Tra la la twiddlee dee dee
It gives me a thrill
To wake up in the morning
To the mockingbird's trill
Tra la
la twiddlee dee dee
There's peace and good will
You're welcome as the flowers
On Mockingbird Hill
When
the sun in the morning
Creeps over the hill
And he kisses the roses
Round my window sill
Then my heart fills
with gladness
When I hear the trill
Of the birds in the treetops
On Mockingbird Hill
Chorus:
When it's late in the evening
I climb up the hill
And survey all the country
While everything's
still
Only me and the sky and an old whipporwhill
Singing songs in the treetops
On Mockingbird Hill
Chorus:
7. Mrs. Normal's Cookie Commercial
© 1982 Elaine M. Silver
From "The Elaine Silver Debut
Tape"
As I linger on the Leidseplein
I wonder where's the end of this rain
My holiday's just begun
But
where has Holland put the sun
Weather's left me with the blues
I wanna send you only happy news
Skies are cloudy
and grey
So no letters in the mail today
Oo oo oo oo high
I was walkin' down the street
Lookin' for
a little little bite to eat
Then I looked up in the sky
Mrs. Normal's cookies they was floatin' by
High igh igh
igh
Mrs. Normal's cookies gonna get you high
Fat policeman on the beat
Lookin' for a little little bite to
eat
Wonders how he got so high
He had a bit too much of Mrs. Normal's pie ie ie ie ie
Mrs. Normal's cookies gonna
get you high
We meet between four and five
Mrs. Normal's got the jive
I got a super feeling in my soul
'cause
this morning I licked the bowl
I bring my banjo to the park
Sit and play 'til after dark
Pass the hat and
share a smile
And I thank you all who like my style
8. The Diet Song
© 1982 Elaine M. Silver
From
"The Elaine Silver Debut Tape"
I wanna lose twenty pounds
Don't wanna be so big and round
You lost thirty
but you're too thin
You just look like bones and skins
I look in the mirror and I see a self
I see someone
that's someone else
A B C D E F G
It comes down to being elementary
Chorus: Go on a diet
Don't tell no
one keep it quiet
Exercise criticize
And visualize you down a size
Soon you'll be your desired weight
Soon
you'll see you've inspired to deflate
Others will follow your direction
And they won't swallow any more confection
Chorus:
I wanna lose twenty pounds
Don't wanna be so big and round
You lost thirty and now you're
thin
I wanna look like bones and skins

10. The Teddy Bears' Picnic
© Words by Jimmy Kennedy, Music by John W. Bratton
From "Faeries,
Dreams & Other Friends"
If you go down in the woods today
You're sure of a big surprise
If you go down
in the woods today
You'd better go in disguise
For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain
because
Today's the day that teddy bears have their picnic
Chorus:
Picnic time for teddy bears
The little
teddy bears are having a lovely time today
Watch them catch them unawares
And see them picnic on their holiday
See
them gaily gad about
They love to laugh and shout
They never have any cares
At six o'clock their mommys and
daddys
Will take them home to bed
Because they're tired little teddy bears
Every teddy bear who's been good
Is sure of a treat today
There's lots of marvelous things to eat
And wonderful games to play
Beneath the trees
where nobody sees
They'll hide and seek as long as they please
Cause that's the way that teddy bears have their picnic
Chorus:
If you go down in the woods today
You better not go alone
It's lovely down in the woods today
But safer to stay at home
For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain because
Today's
the day teddy bears have their picnic
Chorus:
11. Mr. 1950's
© 1999 Elaine M. Silver
Previously unreleased
I got a man he's stuck
in the '50s
Like a Cadillac Deville with fishtail fins
Life with him is grand and his spirit lifts me
I don't
know now where I end and he begins
I got a man and he's a golden oldie
He's glistening and polished like shiny
chrome
He takes my hand and I love how he holds me
When I'm with him I am never far from home
In so many ways
We're reliving history
Like when he dons his vines
And every day
There ain't no mystery
Why my little
love light's shining
I got a man he's like an antique jukebox
Put a nickel in and watch him bubble up with glee
I'm his greatest fan he comes equipped and well stocked
Life with him is four part harmony
Solo
I
feel the rhythm and the beat of his music
The pulsing of his hydromatic drive
And when we're dancing we're romancing
That magic touch makes me come alive
I got me a man he's Mr. 1950s
He's the host with the most and he is solid
gold
The future is our plan 'cause his spirit lifts me
His lovin' always satisfies my soul
He's the one who has
the heart of purest gold
He's Mr. 1950s Rock & Roll
12. I Can See Your Aura
© 1987 Mark Graham / Eternal
Doom Music, RG
Previously unrecorded
I've done lots of spiritual healing
I'm in touch with all my feelings
I've read stars I've read palms for kings and queens
And I hate to bum you out
But you have without a doubt
The
ugliest aura that this woman's ever seen
Chorus:
'cause I can see your aura and it's ugly
Your spirit must
be rotten to the core
And to a new age gal like me
It just brings pain and misery
That's why I cannot love you
anymore
In some life you lived before
You murdered people by the score
You evil is so totally complete
All
good in you is gone
You are darkness without dawn
Either that or you are eating too much meat
Chorus:

We Just Couldn't Say Goodbye
Harry Woods / Words & Music, Inc
From "Puckulations" with Whistlin' Tom
We
thought our love was over
We were really through
I said I din't love him
We'd begin anew
You can all believe
me
We sure intended to
We just couldn't say goodbye
The chair and then the sofa
They broke right down
and cried
The curtains started waving
For me to come inside
I can tell you truly
The tears were hard to hide
We just couldn't say goodbye
The clock was striking twelve
It smiled on us below
With folded arms it seemed
to say
We'll miss you when you go
So I went right back and kissed him
And when I looked around
The room
was singing love songs
And dancing up and down
Now we are so happy
Because at last we found
We just couldn't
say goodby
Just because we couldn't say goodbye
14. Red Hot Red Hat Mamma
© 2004 Elaine M. Silver
Previously
Unrecorded
Chorus: She's a red hot red hat mama
Takin' trips to the Bahamas
Loungin' in her pajamas
Not
doin' what she don't wanna
Just what does this red hat mama do all week anyway?
She goes to church on Sunday
Drives fast cars on Monday
She's a social fashion plate
Can't be late for Tuesday's date
And Wednesday she
takes time to celebrate
Chorus:
Thursday she meets up with the girls
Decked out in purple
Their red hats
and pearls
When Friday rolls around
She's dancin' at the Underground
And Saturday she does anything she wants
Chorus:
The girl just wants to have some fun
She could be singin' in the rain
Or laughin' in the sun
She's
takin' full control
Of the gusto in her soul
She's livin' real big
And she will never grow old
Chorus:

© 2004 Elaine M. Silver
Previouly unrecorded
I've been doin'; some stinkin thinkin'
You've
been a doin'; some bad ass drinkin'
I';m taking life too seriously
I'm taking your life personally
I've been doin'

I'm sittin' on the pity pot cryin' and thinkin'
Is life's passin' by with a one eye blinkin'
I'm taking life too seriously
I'm taking my life personally
I'm sittin' on the pity pot cryin' and thinkin'
The
truth can set you free
But first it might piss you off
The truth can set you free
Is the payoff worth the cost
I've been doin' some stinkin thinkin'
You've been a doin' some bad ass drinkin'
I'm taking life too seriously
I'm taking life too personally
I've been doin' some stinkin' thinkin'

16. I'll See You In C-U-B-A
© Irving Berlin
Previously Unreleased
Intro:
Not so far from here
There's a lively atmosphere
Every body's going there this year
And there's
a reason
The season opened last July
Ever since the USA went dry
Every body's going there
And I'm going too
Chorus:
I'm on my way to Cuba
That's where I'm going
Cuba that's where I'll stay
Cuba where wine is
flowing
Where all those dark eyed Stellas
Light their fellas' Panatellas
Cuba where all is happy
Cuba where
all is gay
Why don't you plan a wonderful trip
To Havana hop on a ship
And I'll see you in C-U-B-A
Why
don't you do your drinkin' like a Cuban
Instead of hidin' in a cellar
Since prohibition tell me how have you been
A very frightened little fella
Why don't you do your drinkin' from a glass
Instead of a tiny silver flask
Drink
your scotch, rum or gin
Where the drys can't come in
The finest bars there are
Cigars there are
That only
are made in
Cuba where all is happy
Cuba where all is gay
Why don't you plan a wonderful trip
To Havana hop
on a ship
And I'll see you in C-U-B-A
I've never been a drinkin' lady
I have never smoked a Panatella
But
I'm a she who likes to be
Where all is gay
Why don't you plan a wonderful trip
To Havana hop on a ship
And
I'll see you in C-U-B-A
tag:
Why don't you leave your cares and troubles behind
And tell 'em your next address
is where they
Stay up late drink till they're blind
Blind but nevertheless they're glad to
See you in C-U-B-A
Why don't you travel with us on train or a bus
To Miami where we can begin to plan a
Wonderful trip on a plane
or a ship
That'll take us from Florida to Havana
See you in C-U-B-A
